Yesterdays Night Club

History

Back in the 90`s Yesterday’s Night Club in Alderley Edge was once one of the hottest nightspots in Cheshire that once attracted footballers and TV stars. It was bought by Absolute Leisure and in March 2000 became the areas first Lap dancing club, launching a lap dancing evening which became a regular weekday fixture known as the Purple Door. It then changed its name to Lizard and in 2004 it finely closed its doors.
It had plans to change it into luxury housing but these plans fell through, a Northern Ireland-based developer Benmore Group has submitted a planning application to extend, refurbish and alter the former Yesterday's night club to create a 68 bedroom hotel including a ground floor bistro and spa.

The building is in a very sorry state with 80 percent of it being boarded up and especially on the ground floor making it a death trap in places with floor boards missing and plenty of trip hazards. There’s still plenty to see though including three different bars and private rooms with mirrors all round for that extra special touch on your evening back in its heyday.
Nice and easy Explore no hassle getting in apart from getting stung several times by stinging nettles but that was made up with no security being there to ruin the fun and within a few miles from Home there was no excuse to go. I recommend more torches the better as it was pitch black downstairs. Once You get upstairs there is allot more light making for better pictures and You can get on the roof for a full look at the grounds and some of the footballers mansions in the area Not a huge place but it’s worth it just seeing some of the seedy leaflets and posters lying around makes you laugh.
