History
Not much history if any can be found about this site We think it’s an old test site as its across the road from the live Tarmac quarry. A point to add the old Buxton railway line runs adjacent to the quarry so maybe it was dug for another purpose.

Dead easy access if you’re brave enough to be watched by Tarmac employees across the road a little more difficult if you’re like us and go across the fields and down a few steep inclines. Once you’re in though it’s great, if you’re the kind who likes old machinery and lots of scrap metal its even better. There is however a mysterious bunker with no way in so if You want to do some bunker busting it`s the perfect place.
